FAQs
Answers, not reassurance.
The questions buyers actually ask before signing. Where a number or a term appears here, it is the same one on our pricing and cancellation pages.
Plans & billing
6 questions
How do I cancel?
30 days notice, by email to info@asaasin.ai. Work in progress is documented and handed over before the engagement ends, and everything shipped stays yours.
Why monthly instead of a fixed-price project?
A fixed price is a guess, and change requests are how agencies charge you for getting it wrong. You buy capacity by the month instead, and stop paying the month you stop needing us.
Can we pause instead of cancelling?
Yes. A paused month is not billed, and we hold your pod seat so the same team picks the work back up.
How do we pay, and who are we contracting with?
Asaasin LLC, Orange County, California. We invoice monthly. You pay by ACH or card through Stripe.
Is there a discount for a longer commitment?
Sometimes. Ask on the call and we will tell you straight whether your scope qualifies.
What am I buying each month?
Capacity, not hours. $5,000 gets a pod lead plus a two-engineer bench on one build track. $10,000 gets two tracks and a three-engineer bench. There is no per-hour billing.
Delivery & scope
8 questions
What if a request is bigger than one cycle?
Anything over a month of work gets split into monthly deliveries that each ship on their own. We tell you at scoping, not halfway through the build.
How fast can the team start?
Most pods are working within five business days. First shipped work usually lands in week one or two.
What does a typical timeline look like?
Small projects take one to three months. Medium ones take three to twelve. Past a year is rare for us.
How is the queue prioritised?
You set it. We meet weekly and agree what the pod builds next.
How many builds run in parallel?
One track on $5,000, two on $10,000, three or more on Enterprise. Adding a track is a plan change, not a queue.
What can we see day to day?
Shipped code in your repository every week, so you review commits and pull requests instead of a status report.
What if we don't approve the work?
Tell your pod lead and we fix it in the next cycle. If it is not working at all, we will say so rather than stretch it out.
Do you replace our existing tools or team?
No. We work inside your stack and alongside your engineers. A pod adds delivery capacity, it does not take anything over.
The pod & the code
10 questions
Who is on a pod?
A pod lead who owns scope and architecture, senior engineers who build, and QA. Two to five engineers depending on your plan.
Can we meet the engineers before they start?
Yes. You meet the pod lead and review the engineers before the first cycle. They are all on our team page.
What happens if someone leaves the pod?
The pod carries on. The work is in your repository and the lead, engineers and QA all know the codebase, so nobody walks off with the context.
Where is the team based, and what hours overlap with ours?
Orange County, California and Prishtina, Kosovo, on Central European time. Your 8am starts with the night's work already tested and waiting, and we keep engineers on support through your day.
How much of the work is AI-assisted?
Anything AI writes faster, AI writes. A named engineer owns and checks it. That is where the speed comes from.
Is AI-assisted code safe for production?
It goes through the same gate as any other code. Pull request in your repo, reviewed by the engineer who owns it, typed contracts, tests in CI, schema changes as reviewed migrations.
Do you work in our repo or yours?
Yours. Code, migrations and the deploy pipeline live in your repository and your cloud account from week one.
What happens when a model we depend on is deprecated?
We move to a newer one. The model sits behind a single interface, so it is a config change and a re-test rather than a rebuild.
Who owns the code, and what does handover include?
You own all of it. Code, data, models, documentation, no licence-back. Handover is the repository, the migrations and the deploy pipeline.
What happens to our system if Asaasin goes away?
It keeps running. Nothing in it is licensed through us or calls a service only we can operate.
Security & legal
5 questions
Do you sign a BAA?
Yes, and we have shipped two HIPAA platforms. Worth knowing: HIPAA has no certification, so anyone claiming to be HIPAA certified is describing something that does not exist.
What is your SOC 2 status?
We hold a SOC 2 Type II report, available under NDA on request.
Do you sign NDAs, DPAs and MSAs?
Yes, and we can send you ours to sign if you would rather not draft them.
Can you work inside our VPC?
Yes. We deploy into your own cloud account and VPC where your compliance rules it out of shared infrastructure.
Do you train models on our data?
No. If you want a model tuned on your own data, we build that on request and it stays yours.
The free prototype
2 questions
What am I committed to after the free prototype?
Nothing. We hand it over and offer to build it out. If you say yes, we sign an SOW, run the intake and start.
Do we keep the prototype if we walk away?
Yes. You get it before there is any offer on the table.
